Description

These two Sonatines composed by Schubert in March of 1816 receive relatively little attention from violinists, Richard Stoltzman thankfully decided to transcribe them for the clarinet.

The felicitous and satisfying quality of the works is perfect for the clarinet as they are full of memorable melodies contained in a formal claity, that is neverthelessfull of harmonic surprises.

This edition includes a CD recording of Richard Stoltzman and the pianist Richard Goode performing them. Thi s is a world premiere edition never before published.
