4 More Afro-Caribbean Pieces for 6 Hands at 1 Piano is the second of two volumes of arrangements by Mike Cornick. Suitable for intermediate players, these trios, are as light-hearted as you would expect, both of the music and the format. They will be excellent material for informal soires, having fun at a weekend course or perhaps as an encore or finale of a piano class concert. The folk songs in each volume have been chosen for their lively rhythms and robust harmonies and each volume includes an original piece by Mike Cornick that draws on the styles and mannerisms of the region. Mike has provided fingerings to alleviate the inevitable collisions between the many hands in close proximity but says, after all, that is part of the fun.This volume includes: Brown Girl in the Ring, Sloop John B, Long Time Gal and Mikes own Caribbean Escapade.
