Studies are an established part of every instrumentalist's training. They place technical problems in musical contexts, and can be invaluable aids to development. 80 Graded Studies for Oboe is a must-have resource for all students and teachers, and the two books feature heavily on the major examination board syllabuses. 80 Graded Studies for Oboe Book 2 is a direct continuation of the first and is designed to take young players to a late intermediate level (Grades 6-8). It concentrates on a number of techniques such as tone quality, dynamics, intonation, articulation, finger technique and playing in character. The wide variety of styles covered by the book fosters a musical understanding in the young oboist. **ABRSM selected pieces (Oboe 2006-2013): Study in D minor (Brod) Study in G or Study in D (Garnier) **Trinity College London selected pieces (Oboe 2012-2014): Study no. 52 (Blatt) Study no.56 (Pietzch) Study no.62 (Ferling) Study no.74 (Harris) Study no.77 (Luft)
