This special edition AMEB practice diary features the stunning artwork of Caleb Nichols-Mansell, a proud Tasmanian Aboriginal artist and creative consultant. Originally commissioned to support the release of AMEB's Reconciliation Action Plan, Caleb's artwork, 'Music in Country', celebrates the role of music and songlines in First Nations culture.

All proceeds from the sale of this limited-edition diary will be donated to the Aboriginal Literacy Foundation <https://aboriginalliteracyfoundation.org/>.

Reflecting on his artwork, Caleb says:
I have created an artwork that imagines music moving through Country as it has for thousands of years.
Our culture, stories, kinship and lore are all passed through songlines throughout the country, these were used to pass messages, keep oral traditions and knowledge alive and for ceremony.
In creating artwork for the Australian Music Examination Board's Reconciliation Action Plan I tried capturing this spirit and notion through fine line work that travels across the artwork meeting in circular gathering spaces.
Music has always brought people together, even in the darkest of times and it is my hope this artwork speaks to that coming together, the layered and deep history of our Country and the magic of music.

This practice diary includes weekly lesson pages and a range of helpful reference tools, such as a glossary of musical terms, a composer timeline, key signatures, and a note tree guide. It's designed to support learning in both studio and classroom settings.

Features:
• Limited edition release
• Cover art by First Nations artist, Caleb Nichols-Mansell
• Sales support the Aboriginal Literacy Foundation
• 26-week practice record
• Glossary of musical terms
• Timeline of influential composers
• Key signatures and note tree guide
