Auralex : TubeTak Pro Liquid Adhesive

Auralex TubeTake Pro Liquid Foam Adhesive is the perfect permanent solution for mounting Auralex Studiofoam and other Auralex acoustic treatment products. A super-strong urethane-based adhesive TTPRO comes in 313ml tubes (roughly 3 sq/m of coverage) and is easily applied with a regular caulking gun.Benefits:- A single tube can mount up to 3 sq/m (depending on foam thickness)- Strong and permanent bond- Works for wall and ceiling applications - Won’t oxidize Auralex Acoustic foam products- Easily applied with caulking gun- Short cure time for ease of installationTukeTak Pro provides a permanent bond between wall and acoustic treatment because the last thing you want is your studio’s absorption and diffusion materials peeling from the walls during an important session or in front of clients. While other brands of liquid adhesive have the unfortunate side-effect of oxidizing (eating) foam Auralex guarantees that TTPRO will not oxidize Auralex foam products.Applied with a standard caulking gun TubeTak Pro is a contact adhesive and works best when spread thin using a putty knife or similar tool. Depending on humidity temperature and other environmental factors TTPRO has a relatively short “open time” of 15 minutes before the chemical bond begins for installation - while still having enough time for application before adhesion starts. Removing the panel after the adhesive has cured can result in some damage to the Studiofoam and the mounting surface. When removing it is recommended to use a sharp knife to carefully separate the panel from the adhesive to minimize tearing. Use a citrus based adhesive remover to clean the adhesive from the wall.
