It contains 32 pieces, organized chronologically, mostly originating from the collections that Johann Sebastian Bach made for the instruction of his own children. They are ideal for elementary pianists to develop an understanding of counterpoint and musical form. Includes a new completion, by Robert Levin, of Praeludium in E minor.
