Description

Arthur Bliss 'Angels Of The Mind' arranged for Soprano and Piano. Bliss had wanted to set some of Kathleen Raines poems for a long time, but seeming to him as delicate as flowers or shells, he didn't want to spoil their fragile beauty. In 1964, he was invited to collaborate with this poet. During Cambidge University's 500th year of the music degree. He composed a Cantata The Golden to her works, which emboldened him to choose seven poems from her collected words, written during the years from 1935 to 1949 and this forms the Song Cycle.
