RE-202 Space Echo Compact Pedal

The BOSS RE-202 Space Echo Compact Delay Pedal brings the legendary sounds of the classic Roland RE-201 Space Echo into the modern age, offering musicians an unparalleled blend of vintage warmth and contemporary features. Since its introduction in 1974, the original Space Echo has been a staple in studios and on stages worldwide, known for its distinctive rhythmic echoes and rich tonal character. With the RE-202, you can harness that iconic sound while enjoying the benefits of advanced technology.

Tape Echo Magic

Tape echo was the first delay effect and one of the first effect processors available for electronic musicians. Unlike today’s CPU-based digital units, a tape echo operates with a motor that pulls magnetic tape across one or more record/playback heads, creating a unique sound that is both lush and dynamic. The RE-202 captures this essence while adding modern innovations to enhance your creative possibilities.

Key Features:
  • 12 diverse modes, including classic tape echo and modern variations
  • High-quality 48 kHz sampling frequency for pristine audio
  • Adaptive Focus (AF) method for improved signal-to-noise ratio
  • 32-bit floating point processing for unparalleled sound clarity
  • Memory options with 127 presets plus manual settings for instant recall
  • Compact and durable design, ideal for pedalboards and live performances
