Description

Eugne Bozza 's Caprice is an exciting addition to the trumpeter's repertoire. Exploiting the instrument's potential to its full capacity, Caprice is ideal performance repertoire. Born in Nice, Bozza (1905-1991) went on to study at the Paris Conservatoire, winning prizes for the violin, conducting and composition, as well as the Grand Prix de Rome. His capability clearly comes across in his Caprice for Trumpet and Piano through thrilling semiquaver flourishes and energetic scalic descents, beautifully contrasted by expressive lento passages. Bozza 's Caprice is essential to all advanced trumpeter's repertoire.
