When it turnedout that Carol WincencŒÍs Naumberg Retrospective Concert fell on Februar y 14th, inspiration hit. She called upon composers that had written other works or concertos for her and said, ŒñHow would you like to write a Valentine?Œî This collection is the magical result. A variety of styles andmoods by some of todayŒÍs finest composers, including Arnold Black, Luka s Foss, Henryk Gorecki, Tobias Picker, Christopher Rouse, Peter Schickele, Paul Shoenfield, Roberto Sierra, Michael Torke, and Joan Tower.
