Description

SKU 28VINTAGE30-16EF

We made pioneering use of Laser Doppler Interferometry to analyse the cone behaviour of an original Celestion Blue. We could then form a precise model of the vintage speaker’s characteristics and apply it to a speaker design using new materials for greater power handling. It was found that Celestion’s ‘H’ magnet came closest in performance to Alnico. This was partnered with a new cone and new coil assembly employing modern materials with similar mass and physical properties to the originals but better able to handle the extra heat generated through operating with higher power equipment.Seemingly twice as loud as anything else at the same power level the Vintage 30 handles massive overdrive sounds with ease. Tight bass fat mids and a smooth harmonically rich top end have made the Vintage 30 an excellent 4 x 12 loudspeaker. Of course it’s also suitable for any other cab!Chassis type Pressed steelDC resistance re Available 7.3? or 12.9?Frequency range 70-5000HzMagnet type CeramicMagnet weight 50oz 1.42kgNominal diameter 12" 305mmNominal impedance Available 8? or 16?Power rating 60WrmsResonance frequency Fs 75HzSensitivity 100dBVoice coil diameter 1.75" 44.5mmVoice coil material Round copperMounting InformationCut-out diameter 11.1" 283mmDiameter 12.2" 309mmMagnet structure diameter 6.1" 156mmMounting slot dimensions 0.31" 7.9mm ØMounting slot PCD 11.7" 297mmNumber of mounting slots 4Overall depth 5.3" 135mmUnit weight 10.4lb 4.7kg
