Alfred Cortot is one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. His courses in musical interpretation are legendary throughout Europe and have influenced many performers and musicians. As one of the most celebrated interpreters of Frdric Chopin, Cortot produced printed editions of his piano works, notable for their inclusion of meticulous commentary on technical problems and interpretation.
