Description

In this album James Rae presents some of Debussy's most popular concert pieces in arrangements for clarinet and piano. The range of tonal colourthat can be produced by the clarinet made it eminently suitable for Deb ussy's impressionistic compositions and it featured greatly in his orchestral works. Only a few works however for the solo instrument were composed. James Rae presents some of Debussy's most popular concert pieces inthese arrangements for clarinet and piano. Clarinettists will now have the pleasure of bringing to life, for example: the Ragtime flair of 'Le petit ngre', the beauty of 'La plus que lente' and the clumsiness of the little elephant in 'Jimbo's Lullaby'.
