Description

The DiMarzio BC-2 Pickup in Cream is part of the Billy Corgan DP226 Series, specifically designed to meet the tonal needs of the iconic Smashing Pumpkins frontman. This pickup was developed in collaboration with Corgan, who sought a unique sound profile for his signature Strat guitar.

When working with DiMarzio, Corgan tested several models and ultimately selected the Air Norton S for the neck, The Chopper for the middle, and The Tone Zone for the bridge. After live performances, he requested modifications to enhance the pickups' performance, resulting in a deeper sound for the low strings without sacrificing punch or clarity, even at high gain levels.

The BC-2 Pickup features:
