Description

SKU DP226R

The DiMarzio BC-2 Pickup in Red is a signature model developed in collaboration with renowned guitarist Billy Corgan. Specifically designed for his Stratocaster, this pickup combines the tonal characteristics he sought after extensive testing of various models.

Corgan initially experimented with the Air Norton S in the neck, The Chopper in the middle, and The Tone Zone S in the bridge. After performing with these pickups, he requested modifications to achieve a deeper low-end response without sacrificing clarity and punch, even at high gain levels. DiMarzio responded by adjusting the frequency response of one coil in each pickup, enhancing the bass while allowing the mids to shine through.

Key features of the DiMarzio BC-2 Pickup include:

- Recommended for all positions, especially the bridge

- Quick Connect wiring for easy installation

- 4-conductor wiring for versatile configurations

- Ceramic magnet for powerful output

- DC resistance of 13.47 kOhm

- Year of introduction: 2009

Tonal characteristics are as follows:

- Bass: 7.0

- Low Mid: 9.0

- High Mid: 8.0

- Treble: 2.5

The BC-2 Pickup excels in both humbucking and split modes, making it a versatile choice for players looking to enhance their sound. Experience the unique tonal qualities that Billy Corgan demands in his music with the DiMarzio BC-2 Pickup.
