Description

The DiMarzio BC-2 Pickup in Red is a signature model developed in collaboration with renowned guitarist Billy Corgan. Specifically designed for his Stratocaster, this pickup combines the tonal characteristics he sought after extensive testing of various models.

Corgan initially experimented with the Air Norton S in the neck, The Chopper in the middle, and The Tone Zone S in the bridge. After performing with these pickups, he requested modifications to achieve a deeper low-end response without sacrificing clarity and punch, even at high gain levels. DiMarzio responded by adjusting the frequency response of one coil in each pickup, enhancing the bass while allowing the mids to shine through.
