Description

The DiMarzio DP225 Billy Corgan BC-1 Pickup in Mint Green is a signature pickup designed in collaboration with the iconic frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins. This pickup is engineered to deliver a unique tonal experience, making it an excellent choice for guitarists seeking a rich, dynamic sound.

When DiMarzio worked with Billy Corgan on his signature Stratocaster pickups, they sent him several models to test. Corgan favored the Air Norton S in the neck, The Chopper in the middle, and The Tone Zone S in the bridge. After extensive testing during live performances, he requested modifications to enhance the depth of sound from the low strings while maintaining clarity and punch, even at high gain levels. DiMarzio achieved this by adjusting the frequency response of one of the coils in each pickup, allowing for boosted bass and open mids.
