Description

SKU DP402AW

The DiMarzio DP402 Virtual Vintage Blues Pickup in Aged White is designed for guitarists seeking a powerful and warm sound from their Strat® style instruments. This hum-canceling single coil pickup offers more strength and richness compared to typical single-coils, making it ideal for blues music.

Key features of the Virtual Vintage Blues Pickup include:

- Enhanced power and warmth for a fuller tone.

- Excellent performance under hard picking conditions, with sound that expands rather than shrinks when played through an overdriven amp.

- Versatile placement; recommended for the bridge position, but can also be used in the neck and middle positions to complement a full-size bridge humbucker.

- Ideal for thin-sounding guitars, helping to achieve a fatter tone in the neck position.

- Made with Alnico 5 magnets and features a resistance of 8.18 Kohm.

- Quick Connect No Wiring with 4 conductor wiring for easy installation.

The Virtual Vintage Blues Pickup is part of the renowned Virtual Vintage® family, known for its dead quiet operation with minimal hum. For optimal performance, DiMarzio recommends using 500K controls for an extended frequency response, though 250K controls can be utilized for a warmer tone.

This pickup was introduced in 1997 and remains a popular choice for guitarists looking to enhance their blues sound with a robust and dynamic pickup option.
