Description

SKU DP153FG

The Dimarzio Fred Humbucker Pickup with F Spacing in green (SKU: DP153FG) is designed for guitarists seeking a unique blend of vintage tone and modern clarity. This pickup is tailored to fit Fender-style guitars, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.

- F spacing designed to fit Fender-style guitars

- Classic single-coil tone with vintage character

- Eye-catching green cover for a distinctive look

- Enhances mid-range frequencies for a powerful sound

- Sensitive to pick attack and control settings

- Ideal for both neck and bridge positions in solidbody, hollow, and semi-hollowbody guitars

Notably, the Fred pickup is renowned for its ability to produce harmonics that are typically absent in standard humbuckers, particularly when used with overdriven amps and distortion units. It offers a sound that is tighter and brighter, akin to a single-coil, making it an excellent choice for penetrating solos and tight rhythm tracks.

Originally developed as a prototype to enhance the midrange of the PAF Pro, the Fred has become a favorite among players, including Joe Satriani, who appreciates its distinctive tonal qualities. With its unique sound and striking green finish, the Dimarzio Fred Humbucker Pickup is an excellent addition to any guitarist's setup.
