Description

SKU DP124N

The Dimarzio Sixties P Bass Replacement Pickup with Nickel Cover is expertly crafted to deliver the classic Motown soul and funk tones that defined the 1960s. This pickup is designed as a direct replacement for any American Standard Precision Bass, making it an ideal upgrade for musicians seeking to enhance their instrument's performance while capturing that rich, warm vintage tone.

Key features of the Sixties P pickup include:

- Designed as a P Bass® replacement pickup

- Sculpted shape inspired by Relentless™ metal covers for improved aesthetics and performance

- Utilizes vintage style enamel-coated wire and fully-charged Alnico 5 rod magnets for authentic 60s sound

- Delivers a rich Motown soul and funk sound with an output level of 162mV

- Durable nickel metal cover that is thinner than molded plastic covers, allowing for better resonance

- Compound radius shape that matches the fingerboard arch, positioning the pickups closer to the strings for improved dynamics

- Enhanced shielding that makes it 3dB quieter than standard Precision Bass pickups

- Fully potted to reduce microphonics and ensure virtually noise-free operation

- Circuit board mounting system that keeps height adjustment screws below the pickguard, preventing finger injuries during play

- Includes Billy Sheehan’s isolation mount tubing for easy installation

Handmade in New York City, the Dimarzio Sixties P pickup is perfect for bassists looking to evoke the vintage vibe of the 1960s while enjoying reliable build quality and modern performance enhancements.
