Description

SKU DP184V

DiMarzio The Chopper DP184V Guitar Pickup is designed to deliver a louder, punchier sound, making it an excellent choice for guitarists seeking enhanced tone and power. This pickup is known for its concentrated mids and low-end response, resulting in a bigger sound with a satisfying crunch.

The Chopper features a side-by-side coil design and twin-blade construction, similar to the Fast Track 1, which eliminates issues with misaligned poles and string-pull problems. While originally intended as a bridge pickup, it also serves well as a neck pickup, especially when paired with a hot humbucker in the bridge position. It is recommended for use in all positions.

Key specifications include:

- Recommended For: All positions

- Quick Connect: Yes

- Wiring: 4 Conductor

- Magnet: Ceramic

- Resistance: 9.16 Kohm

- Year of Introduction: 1994

The tonal characteristics of The Chopper are a unique blend of single-coil clarity and the fullness of a humbucker, making it an ideal choice to fatten tone and increase power, particularly in the bridge position of a Stratocaster. It can be effectively combined with two Fast Track 1 pickups or a Fast Track 1 in the neck position along with The Cruiser (DP187) in the middle for a matched set.

With its versatile sound and robust construction, the DiMarzio The Chopper DP184V is perfect for guitarists looking to enhance their instrument's performance across various playing styles.
