The Dimarzio Vintage P90 Pickup with Humbucker Cover is a high-quality pickup designed for musicians seeking the distinctive sound of a classic P90. This pickup is a recreation of the late 50s Gibson single-coil, delivering the midrange grittiness that makes P90 pickups unique.
Key features of the Dimarzio Vintage P90 include:
- Calibrated dual Alnico 5 sandcast magnets for enhanced tonal quality
- Wound on a custom-designed vintage winding machine to ensure the correct winding profile and frequency response
- Vintage tape braided single-conductor hookup cable for authentic vintage sound
- Un-dipped coils that contribute to its sparkly mids and growl reminiscent of a vintage 50s Les Paul
The Vintage P90 offers a warm but sparkly midrange bite, making chords resonate with a nice harmonic bloom, while single notes are glassy and silky. This pickup is a drop-in replacement for any standard P90 sized soapbar and is designed to work in any position on your guitar.
With a resistance of 8.12k ohms, this pickup provides a smooth warm tone on high notes and a bright dynamic response on low notes. It features a quick connect system with one conductor for easy installation.
Introduced in 2019, the Dimarzio Vintage P90 Pickup with Humbucker Cover is perfect for players looking to capture the essence of classic rock sounds, found in recordings by iconic artists from the 60s and 70s.
