Throughout all the variants of this song, our misguided husband encounters many domestic challenges while attempting to fulfill his wife's duties. Follow Father Grumble in his attempts to: milk the cow, feed the little pigs, watch the bracket hen, and finally to wind the reel of yarn. Father Grumble said: "He could do more work in a day than his wife could do in three". But as you will see: 'Nothing is quite as easy as it seems!' The Songtale Father Grumble is part of the First Steps in Music for Preschool and Beyond Curriculum and is also included in the supporting Had Little Rooster CD Collection. This picture book is one in a series based on beloved children's folksongs, part of John M. Feierabend's lifelong goal to identify and preserve the best music of our heritage for future generations.
