This handy anthology, carefully curated by Janet Way, provides a complete repertoire for a prospective oboist at Level 1 and is an excellent combination of material for teaching, exam preparation and performance.

Each volume contains:
• 19 pieces & short etudes, each supplemented with a practical note on practice and performance
• scales and arpeggios appropriate to the level, linked to the repertoire through explanatory texts and appropriate exercises
• brand new exercises for sight reading
• innovative tasks for hearing training
• a booklet with piano accompaniments

Performance examples with a full cast, piano playback as accompaniment and material for ear training for the respective level are available as streams or downloads.

Janet Way is an experienced performer and teacher. She is a teacher at the Royal Academy of Music on its woodwind pedagogic course and has served as a mentor and diploma examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. She is the founder and director of the internationally acclaimed Oxford Flute Summer Schott.
