Description

A genuine left-handed build of Guild's Starfire I Bass, this short-scale semi-hollow carries the thumpy, woody voice that put the original on countless records. The arched mahogany body and elegant double-cutaway outline give it a light, comfortable feel, while the 30 3/4" scale makes it an easy move for guitarists and a joy for anyone chasing that vintage flatwound thud.

A single Guild bass pickup delivers a fat, focused tone with plenty of low-end weight. Master volume and tone controls keep things simple, and pulling up on the volume knob engages a "vintage" voicing that adds presence and rolls off some low end.
