Description

SKU AAF6908

The Guild Starfire I DC revives one of the great double-cutaway semi-hollows of the 1960s, brought up to date with a set of specifications built for the modern player. A solid mahogany centre block runs through the arched body, keeping feedback under control when the amp is pushed while retaining the airy, resonant voice that made the Starfire a favourite of blues, jazz and indie players alike.

This version is fitted with the Guild Vibrato Tailpiece, giving you everything from a gentle shimmer on a held chord to full-blown surf wobble. Two Guild HB-2 humbuckers with Alnico II magnets handle the tonal heavy lifting, with push/pull coil-split switches on the controls for single-coil chime whenever you want it.

  • Semi-hollow double-cutaway body with arched top and solid mahogany centre block
  • Guild Vibrato Tailpiece paired with a Guild Tune-O-Matic bridge
  • Two Guild HB-2 humbucking pickups with Alnico II magnets
  • Two volume and two tone controls with push/pull coil-splitting
  • Mahogany neck with a Modern Thin "U" profile and 24 3/4" scale length
  • Indian rosewood fingerboard, 12.5" radius, 22 narrow-tall frets
  • Guild Vintage 18 open-gear tuners
