Description

SKU CMP043800040

An energetic addition to your Christmas concert, the Holly Variations merges "Deck the Hall with Boughs of Holly" (a duple-meter carol) with "The Holly and the Ivy" (a triple-meter carol). This unlikely partnership sets the stage for some very interesting rhythmic effects as two strong and opposing meters struggle for dominance. As a striking opener or a "contrast" piece, THE HOLLY VARIATIONS will add spice to your holiday performance.
