The Jargar Classic “Blue Packet” Medium Tension set is one of the most widely used and respected cello string setups in the classical music world. Developed in 1956 by cellist Jarl Hansen for the Royal Danish Opera Orchestra, the Classic series pioneered the use of a flexible steel core wound with thin metal alloys. This unique design eliminated the harsh, metallic edge of early steel strings, replacing it with a rich, responsive voice. Today, this handmade Danish set remains a staple choice for cellists across all playing levels.
