The Low Ritual / Bass Fuzz Low Ritual is a bass fuzz built to get filthy without losing the bottom end. From gritty, low-gain drive through to thick, saturated fuzz, Low Ritual covers a lot of ground while a parallel clean path keeps your bass defined underneath it all. The Fuzz control takes you from a little hair and breakup through to heavy fuzz and sustain. Gain Boost pushes the front end harder, adding more aggression and giving you another way to move from drive territory into something much nastier. Saturation controls how hard the fuzz gets squashed and saturated, letting you choose between a more open, dynamic sound and a denser wall of fuzz. Then there's Clean. Instead of sending your entire bass signal through the fuzz and hoping there's some bottom end left when it comes out the other side, Low Ritual runs a clean path in parallel. Bring it up to put the fundamental, attack and weight of your bass back underneath the fuzz. Keep the clean low for a more traditional fuzz sound, or wind it up when you want huge amounts of dirt while still hearing exactly what your bass is doing. The Tone control lets you shape the overall character of the fuzz, while Volume sets the final output. Low Ritual can be a dirty bass drive. It can be a thick fuzz with plenty of definition. Or it can get properly out of hand. You decide how deep the ritual goes. Built for the Stage Low Ritual is built in Melbourne by Kink Guitar Pedals, with a straightforward six-knob layout that gives you plenty of control without making it difficult to dial in. The parallel clean path makes it particularly useful live, where massive fuzz can sound great on its own but disappear once the rest of the band kicks in. Blend some clean bass back underneath and you keep the punch, definition and low-end weight. Controls Volume — Sets the overall output level. Tone — Shapes the tonal character of the fuzz. Fuzz — Takes the circuit from lower-gain dirt through to heavy fuzz. Gain Boost — Pushes the fuzz harder for more gain and aggression.
