Welcome to the G. Henle publishing house, dear Maestro Kissin! The publisher is proud and honored to present the first three operas of the world-renowned, brilliant pianist, who has been seriously composing for several years. The beginning is - which is hardly surprising in this author - a cycle of four piano pieces. The "Toccata", an incredibly virtuoso tour de force in the jazz idiom, has occasionally been heard by him as an encore. "Meditation" and "Dodecaphonic Tango" perfectly describe the respective mood of these expressive character pieces in their titles. The simple "Intermezzo" grants the performer and audience a brief moment of contemplation before the "Toccata". Four Piano Pieces Op. 1 Composer: Evgeny Kissin Publisher: G.
