While the 1987X shares the same front and rear panel features as the 1959SLP it has its own distinctive sonic personality - sweet warm and singing are the tonal trademarks of this much respected all-valve head. Great care has been taken to ensure that this re-issue remains as true to the original as humanly possible including its classic look. Mission accomplished!
