A Modern Approach to New Orleans Drumming featuring Stanton Moore will establish the foundation of grooves for the 21st Century. In this second of two DVDs Stanton demonstrates how to blend contemporary ideas such assimple sticking, linear drumming and the combination of other styles wi th the traditional Second Line to create a new approach to New Orleans drumming. He shares his ideas on how to bring character to a groove by paying attention to details and adding inflection while staying true to the underlying rhythmic structure. Also included is Stantons personal approach to incorporating Mambo, Guaguanco, Shuffle, Boogaloo Bossa-nova and Samba with Second Line drumming to add a modern and progressive flair to his playing.
