Description

SKU RM102

Originally for violin, this beautiful Nocturne has two editions in one publication - for intermediate and advanced levels. 19th-century Germancomposer-pianist J.F. Burgmuller lived most of his life in Paris and wr ites in a lyrical style, typical of the age. The easier version remains in bass clef throughout; the advanced version is a 5th higher; and both offer musical and technical challenges. Beautiful and evocative music where more than simply technique can be displayed. This [lower edition] has been very popular with intermediate students who are not quite ready to play in thumb position yet, but have a good knowledge of the positions up to harmonic G (one ocatve above the open string). Performance Level: 6;8
