Description

Solo oboe and double reed trio - Solo oboe, oboe, cor anglais or bassoon, bassoon. A full arrangement of Mozart's famous Oboe quartet for solo oboe, oboe, cor anglais or bassoon, and bassoon. The solo oboe line has been left completely unchanged so players familiar with the work will be ready to tackle this immediately. The other instruments cover the string parts, the different timbres matching their replacements beautifully. In three movements: a charming first movement with some contrapuntal sections, a slow lyrical second movement dominated by the solo oboe, and an exciting third movement with some fireworks in the solo part. Suitable for players of about grade 6/7 standard, although some stamina is required to get through the whole work.
