Cellisto is a brilliant cherry-red cello rosin from Pirastro, formulated to a softer consistency than the brand’s standard Cello rosin. Softer rosins are generally recommended for synthetic, gut and gut-wound cello strings, and can also suit players performing in colder conditions or smaller, more intimate settings such as a recording studio. Cellisto gives cellists an alternative to harder rosin formulations while remaining within Pirastro’s dedicated cello rosin range. Apply thinly and evenly across the bow hair, recoating only as needed.
