It sits on the slightly harder end of Pirastro’s cello rosin options, reflecting the general guidance that cellists typically use a medium-to-firm rosin depending on their string type and playing environment, with harder rosins generally suiting steel strings and warmer climates. As with all Pirastro rosin, the cake is mounted on a soft cloth for clean handling, and only a light, even application across the bow hair is needed per practice session.
