"Play Saxophone with Andy Firth" is an innovative collection of pieces in jazz, popular, ragtime and Latin styles for intermediate-level saxophonists. Written by a leading saxophone performer and educator, these idiomatic pieces are designed to help students practise tricky fingerings, commonly-used melodic and scalic passages, as well as giving confidence to play in many different styles. Each book comes with a CD featuring dazzling performances by the composer, together with backing tracks to play along with. Andy Firth is not only one of the world's finest clarinet and saxophone players, but is also a gifted composer and dedicated educator. He is equally at home in popular and classical music, and has performed with many of the world's leading jazz and blues musicians. In 2006 he was awarded Australian Jazz Instrumentalist Performer of the Year Play Saxophone with Andy Firth Vol. 1 Composer: Andy Firth Publisher: Boosey & Hawkes Instrument: Saxophone Pages: 52
