These new snares are hand-crafted by their artisans in Sakae’s Lab-factory in Osaka, Japan.These new custom snares mark a new milestone in SAKAE’s pursuit of the best sound, quality and playability.The Phosphor Bronze Custom Snares are the ultimate snare and the embodiment of SAKAE's sound delivering overwhelming presence with driving volume, sound pressure, and wide dynamic range, These incredibly responsive and dynamic snares can adapt to any style and genre. Easily transitioning between the loudest rim shots and the softest of ghost notes.To better cater to a wide range of players, the Phosphor Bronze Snares are available in two sizes. A 14″ x 6.5″ for players who prefer a bigger sound with more presence, and a more accessible 14″ x 5.5″ model.These Japan-made Custom Snares go well with any music genre and are ideal for recording.FEATURESShell: The shell is made of 3mm thick high quality phosphor bronze, with a reinforcement ring.Snare Wires: The 36-strand snare wires are made of Ultra High-Carbon which are harder than typical High-Carbon wires.Hoops: The Japan Custom Snare comes with SAKAE's popular Righty Halo; The top edge of the hoop faces outwards for an open sound with enhanced harmonics.DIECAST Lugs: Custom made Diecast lugs used in the Phosphor Bronze snare are specially designed to match the shell qualities for the best sound and performance.Strainer: Effortlessly adjust snare tension with the highly-accurate and easy to use Sakae strainer.
