Description

SKU 0571503284DEV

Following on directly from the First Book of Oboe Solos both technically and musically, this second collection of solos introduces players of an intermediate ability to an unusually wide range of music. All 28 pieces have been chosen to encourage attention to the technical aspects of oboe-playing, written in a thoughtful way that allows players time to consider breathing and tone quality as well as basic sound production. Short footnotes are provided for each piece and it is hoped that these will prove useful. AMEB Oboe / Grade 3 / List B Aria [with ornamented repeat] (No. 12 from Second Book of Oboe Solos) Rondeau (No. 4 from Second Book of Oboe Solos) Oboe / Grade 3 / List C A dance fragment (No. 2 from Second Book of Oboe Solos) Air (No. 7 from Second Book of Oboe Solos) Oboe / Grade 4 / List B Affettuoso and Allegro from Sonata in C minor (No. 14 and No. 15 from Second Book of Oboe Solos) Air and Hornpipe (No. 20 and No. 21 from Second Book of Oboe Solos) Gerechter Gott from Cantata No. 89 (No. 25 from Second Book of Oboe Solos) Theme and two variations from Divertimento No. 13 (No. 25 from Second Book of Oboe Solos) Oboe / Grade 4 / List C Down the valley (No. 23 from Second Book of Oboe Solos)
