Starting Ukulele: The Next Step is the Ukulele tuition book to take you beyond the basics and on to full enjoyment of your instrument. This book also comes complete with an audio CD featuring demonstrations and backing tracks for each song covered, so you can hear exactly how things should sound. Following on from Steven Sproat 's best-selling Starting Ukulele, this brand new tuition book builds on the basics with introductions to several new techniques. Mastering new strumming patterns, alternative chord shapes and fingerpicking will add colour and flair to your basic playing skills. The book is for people who are no longer beginners and are looking to progress from the absolute basics onto new and more exciting ways of expressing yourself through the Uke. Sproat takes you through common chords to refresh your memory, then launches into new strumming styles like the Flamenco strum and other patterns. His friendly manner and personable style will make you feel like you have your own personal tutor, as you learn new techniques and concepts that you won't have heard before.  All the while, Steven Sproat guides you through some traditional Ukulele songs and some of his own compositions to demonstrate each technique within a tuneful and melodic context. The accompanying CD comes in handy here with demonstrations of each song and backing tracks as well to help you practise and solidify your learning. So if you've picked up the basics of playing the Ukulele, and you want some fresh ideas for inspiration, or to try and experiment to reinvigorate your practising, Starting Ukulele: The Next Step  is the quintessential Ukulele tutor book for you.
