Eric Velez beats reach frightening speed, generating an exciting mix of low rumbles and crisp highs. For this technique, he prefers congas and bongos that are sensitive to fingertips and loud slaps. Together with Toca, he created a line that lets him express himself the way he wants.Eric Velez Signature 11-3/4" Size Conga features:Natural Sunburst high gloss finish28" tall two-ply high premium Asian Oak constructionContemporary Afro-Cuban shape designed for added volume and resonanceBlack Mirror chrome hardware for a sleek look and appealDrums feature 6 tuning lugs for greater tuning rangeEasyplay hoopFree online videos on how-to play and tune Toca congas. The wood we use is harvested from a plantation in Thailand, where our drums are then lathed and handcrafted by local musicians. This carefully managed resource is much easier on the environment than wood taken from primary forests.
