The LL6M ARE carries Yamaha's Original Jumbo body, one of the most recognised silhouettes in the L Series line-up and is shown here in a natural gloss finish that lets the mahogany grain show through. Its solid Engelmann spruce top is treated with Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) process, which uses controlled heat and pressure to give the top the more open, resonant feel usually associated with a well-played-in guitar.

Mahogany back and sides push the tone toward a punchier, focused low-mid response and a quick note response, a combination strummers and singer-songwriters tend to like. A five-ply mahogany and rosewood neck adds stability and a comfortable, traditional playing feel, and a built-in SRT Zero Impact pickup means it is ready to plug straight into an amp, PA or interface without changing its natural acoustic character.
