Description

Guitarists know the tube stacks that sound amazing turned up loud on a big stage, and the combos that suit smaller venues and rehearsal. THR ignored the convention that a practice amp should just be a smaller version of a larger amplifier, creating a new “third amp” category built around what players actually need at home.

Yamaha's patented Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) simulates each circuit down to the component level. By modelling those components and the interactions between them, VCM recreates the nuances that give boutique tube amplifiers their sound and feel. The THR amps were developed with Yamaha's award-winning AV division for true hi-fi stereo sound, so the same speaker enclosure that flatters your guitar also flatters your music.

Design has always been central to the THR story. Alongside the original cream, the THR30II Wireless is also offered in black and in white, so the amp on your desk matches the rest of your space.
